Muhammad Ali and his daughter, Hana Yasmeen Ali, make an appearance at Barnes and Noble to meet fans and to promote his new book, 'The Soul of a Butterfly' on 2 December, 2004 in New York City Peter Kramer/Getty Images
Muhammad Ali's daughter has shared the last photo she took of her father before he died.
Hana Ali, one of the boxer's nine children, posted the image of one of the last conversations she had with her father on Tuesday.
She shared the photo with a caption saying: "My last photo of my beautiful father...telling him I love him on May 22, 2016."
He had battled Parkinson's disease for more than 30 years and was admitted to hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, with a respiratory condition earlier in the week.
His body has been returned to his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky as the city prepares for a public funeral to commemorate the legendary boxing champion this week.
His funeral will be held on Friday followed by a public memorial. It is understood Ali himself helped plan the public service.
